Lemons to Lemonade? Almost.

Life giving you lemons - happens all the time, right? All the Hang In There posters and greeting cards tell us to make 'lemonade'. But if you think about it, there's more to it than that.

You need to have your Sugar already in the pantry and your Ice already in the freezer so that your lemonade will be delicious when you do make it. (Maybe even add a little mint or ginger.)

What are these metaphorical ingredients? I look at it this way: if you already have coping skills in your toolbox and a financial safety net in your back pocket, those lemons aren't going to seem so bad. And they're not going to ruin you.

Let's talk about how to get you there. Coping skills (ice) help water down the stress of those sudden events life throws at you, so it's not so bitter. With solid coping mechanisms, you can work through a challenge to come out the other side even tougher. A good, easily maintained budget can help you grow a financial safety net so that you can have rainy-day funds (sugar) to make emergencies a little better to handle.

How about that mint? Ah, yes, a positive mindset will help us look for the silver lining and find the good in a bad situation.

Ready to get started? Let us help walk you through the recipe!
